A leading organisation in the medical diagnostics field is seeking a Production Technician for a pivotal role within their team.

This 23-month, full-time contract position offers the chance to contribute significantly to patient care through the advancement of medical technology. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to manufacturing innovative medical diagnostic equipment.

Role Overview:

The appointed Production Technician will:

  • Undertake technical testing and fault resolution of diagnostic products in a highly complex, regulated environment.
  • Ensure production targets and quality metrics are met by promptly addressing instrument issues.
  • Analyse and rectify failures to component level, reducing repeat issues and enhancing product reliability.
  • Conduct inspections of sub-assemblies and systems against exacting specifications, upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of new testing procedures, contributing to ongoing innovation.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A QQI Level 6 in an Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent, with a preference for backgrounds in Bio-Chemistry, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role within a manufacturing setting, ideally within the medical equipment sector or a closely related field.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex systems, encompassing software, electronics, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Flexibility to accommodate shift patterns in line with manufacturing demands.
