About the Role
We are seeking a driven Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to lead growth within the orthopaedics portfolio, with a focus on joint replacement solutions. This is a 100% field-based role, responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening key customer relationships, and expanding market share in a highly competitive medical device sector.
You will be a key point of contact for healthcare professionals, KOLs, and distributors, ensuring strong product knowledge, compliance, and ethical standards while promoting innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales and business development for the orthopaedic joint replacement portfolio within the assigned territory.
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market, including customer base, business potential, competitor activity, and trends.
- Develop sales strategies and identify growth opportunities through analysis of market data and customer insights.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers, surgeons, and hospital leaders.
- Provide technical support and training to ensure customers are confident and competent in using products.
- Collaborate with KOLs to promote scientific engagement and strengthen brand presence.
- Identify, build, and manage networks of distributors and agents to achieve business and growth objectives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational objectives, regulations, and ethical business standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer issues and deliver high-quality service.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including outside the assigned territory when required.
About You
- 3-8 years' experience in joint replacement or a related medical device field.
- Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Business, or another relevant area (MBA a plus).
- Strong background in sales, people management, and business administration.
- Skilled in market analysis, decision-making, and financial management.
- Excellent communication skills (local language proficiency required; English intermediate or above).
- Proven ability to build trust with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and distribution partners.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to provide training and product demonstrations.
- High integrity, compliance-focused, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
