SEC will collect the personal details that you provide to us for the purposes of providing you with services and/or information. As a business we comply with all General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
What information do we collect?
The information we collect via our website is automatically stored within our website and is not accessible by any individuals publicly. We collect information that is only relevant to our ability to find you permanent or contract employment or via our payroll solutions services through our clients. We do not collect any financial information via our website. If we require additional information (for example bank details to make payments to you if you are working as a contractor) we will contact you separately about this via SEC’s finance department.
Information we might collect includes your full name, address, telephone number, email address, current employment status, future employment desires, personal preferences (e.g. how far you are willing to travel, whether you would like to relocate, etc). Much of this is also to remember your contact details on the SEC website for ease of future use and the job application process.
In some instances and for some projects we also collect video content for interview purposes. You may request a copy of this content at any time by simply contacting SEC on +44 20 7255 6600 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. For any subject access requests, we will also provide you with an Excel spreadsheet of all information relating to data that we have on you as an individual and you can request that in writing using the above email address. You will be notified if there are requirements for video interviewing in any process and for any project we are working on.
Where do you store my information?
We store your information gathered from the website on our company internal database which we will use to contact you with relevant jobs, or with information that you might find of interest, which you can specify when you complete any online registration process on this website.

Sharing of personal data with finance providers
To effectively carry out recruitment services, there are situations where we need to share certain personal data with finance providers. This sharing is crucial for facilitating payments and contractual obligations associated with employment or contract work secured through our services.
The types of data shared are limited to those strictly necessary for the purpose, such as your name, contact information, and, if applicable, bank details. This data sharing is conducted on a legal basis of contractual necessity, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in ensuring smooth business operations, and where required, your explicit consent.
Our partner finance company is committed to protecting your personal data and will further process your personal data in accordance with their own stringent privacy policies. Contact us if you would like to familiarise yourself with their data handling practices by reviewing their privacy notice, or to be put in touch with their data protection officer, by emailing email@example.com.
Download our full data protection policy for more information on how we process data in accordance with data protection laws.
Should you contact us by telephone please be aware that at SEC we record all telephone calls for training, quality and compliance purposes.
Information collection and use
SEC is the sole owner of the information collected via our website. We will never sell, share, or rent this information to others outside of the conditions set out in the 'How will you use my information' section of this policy.
Our processes for securing your data
At SEC we have successfully completed Cyber Essentials - the government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber-attacks - as well as undergoing regular internal training on ensuring all data held within SEC’s offices is secure. All of our systems are secure and inaccessible without the right credentials which are managed internally by the IT Department.
For more information about Cyber Essentials visit the National Cyber Security Centre website here.
