A global life sciences company is seeking an experienced Power BI Solution Architect to support a critical transformation programme within its Commercial Excellence function. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to work on high-impact data initiatives that influence strategic decisions across commercial teams.
Operating in a complex and fast-paced environment, this role suits a data specialist with strong technical expertise and a track record of enabling data-driven decision-making in large organisations. The successful contractor will collaborate closely with both Commercial and IT stakeholders to design scalable, actionable analytics tools that align with business needs.
Your role as Power BI Solution Architect:
Develop and deploy insightful analytics solutions that drive commercial strategy and performance.
Build and enhance dashboards using Power BI and Power Query, ensuring usability and accuracy.
Translate business requirements into robust data models and scalable reports.
Integrate and analyse data from systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and IQVIA to uncover opportunities and market insights.
Support consistent and high-quality data delivery by working with Snowflake-based data products.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams through Jira and Confluence to manage data projects from design through to implementation.
Experience and qualifications for the Power BI Solution Architect role:
Background in data, analytics, or IT, ideally supported by a degree in a relevant field.
Previous experience in pharma or life sciences, particularly within Commercial Excellence or analytics functions.
Proven expertise in Power BI, Power Query, and complex data modelling.
Competency in SQL and managing large, multi-source data environments.
Experience with Snowflake and agile project delivery methodologies is desirable.
Fluent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to present data clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
