A leading healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of complex instrumentation projects across client sites in the West Midlands and Wales. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments and is confident managing end-to-end implementation within laboratory or healthcare settings.

You'll be joining a well-established team delivering innovative diagnostic solutions that ultimately help improve patient care outcomes. Your role as Project Manager

  • Lead the full lifecycle of instrumentation projects, from post-tender award through to on-site installation and completion.

  • Drive project planning, governance, and execution to meet critical milestones, including floor plan approval and snagging sign-off.

  • Act as the central point of contact for clients and internal teams, escalating issues and ensuring strong communication across all phases.

  • Coordinate on-site activities and stakeholder relationships across multiple locations, ensuring seamless project delivery.

  • Support the implementation of consistent project management processes, working with junior team members and technical leads.

  • Monitor construction progress and resolve logistical challenges on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout.

Experience and qualifications for the Project Manager role

  • Proven track record managing medium to high-complexity projects in healthcare, life sciences, or lab-based environments.

  • Prince2 certification (essential) and a relevant degree or equivalent background.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels.

  • Experience preparing statements of work and proposals, with a solid understanding of commercial project drivers.

  • Skilled in managing risk, change, and timelines across concurrent projects.

  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
