A leading pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Project Manager (QA Operations) to support a critical reorganisation initiative at its manufacturing site in Southern Germany. This is a contract-based consulting opportunity offering hybrid working, with up to 50% remote flexibility.

The role sits within a well-established global business known for its patient-first focus and quality-driven culture. The business is undergoing strategic process changes within Quality Assurance Operations, creating an opportunity for an experienced consultant to drive quality system improvements and lead new process implementation. Working cross-functionally with global stakeholders, this position is suited to someone with a track record of managing complex QA initiatives in regulated pharmaceutical environments.

Your role as Project Manager (QA Operations):

  • Lead QA Operations workstreams for a major organisational restructure at a GMP/GDP-regulated manufacturing site.

  • Redesign and optimise existing quality systems, including PQR, Change Control, Deviation/CAPA, and Supplier Qualification.

  • Oversee the separation of GDP and GMP warehouse operations, ensuring compliance and operational clarity.

  • Develop and roll out new GMP warehousing processes tailored to local site needs.

  • Design and implement a fit-for-purpose training framework for local QA Operations personnel.

  • Act as a strategic QA consultant, working closely with site and global teams to ensure readiness for audit and regulatory expectations.

Experience and qualifications for the Project Manager (QA Operations) role:

  • Significant experience in QA Operations within pharmaceutical manufacturing, with strong understanding of GMP and GDP requirements.

  • Proven ability to build or restructure QA processes in large-scale environments.

  • Background in pharmacy or a closely related scientific field.

  • Experience supporting inspections and audits, with a focus on operational readiness.

  • Confident communicator in both German and English (written and spoken).

  • Comfortable working in hybrid consulting roles with both remote and on-site commitments.
