Senior Consultant, Business Systems Management - Contract (Remote, EU-Based)
Duration: 12 months | Location: Remote (Germany-based projects)
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Management to support global data infrastructure and technology initiatives within a leading pharmaceutical environment. This 12-month contract (with scope for extension) is fully remote, offering the chance to make a real impact on clinical research and real-world evidence generation projects.
Working with advanced platforms and a forward-thinking data engineering function, this role supports the lifecycle and management of clinical systems and data platforms. The position suits someone with a strong technical background in cloud technologies and clinical data systems, alongside a sharp understanding of regulatory frameworks like GxP and GDPR.
Your role as Senior Consultant, Business Systems Management
- Lead lifecycle and support activities for Clinical Data Warehouses and Statistical Computing Environments
- Act as a technical advisor on platforms including Google Cloud BigQuery, AWS (S3, Redshift), and ETL tools such as Informatica
- Support real-world and patient-level data technology initiatives, contributing to the wider Data Engineering strategy
- Apply clinical domain knowledge to shape technology best practices and deliver practical innovations
- Document and formalise system processes in line with GxP, GDPR, and data governance expectations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure platforms meet scientific, regulatory, and operational needs
Experience and qualifications for the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Management role
- Solid experience managing Clinical Data Warehouses and Statistical Computing Environments (e.g. SAS, R)
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud BigQuery, AWS (S3, Redshift), and ETL tools such as Informatica
- Strong working knowledge of clinical research systems, including Clinical Data Science and Real-World Evidence technologies
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like GxP, GDPR, and Computer System Validation (GAMP5)
- Proficiency in R-Shiny, Python, or EDC systems would be advantageous
- Comfortable leading technical initiatives, managing risks, and driving process improvement
