Your role as Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs - CNS
Act as the senior medical affairs leader for CNS programs, reporting to the SVP of Global Medical Affairs and working closely with cross-functional teams across clinical development, commercial, and regulatory affairs
Co-lead CNS brand strategy sub-teams and drive integrated medical affairs planning in alignment with clinical and commercial goals
Develop and oversee global Medical Affairs strategies that support patient access, data generation, and product differentiation
Lead scientific engagement with external experts, advocacy organisations, and healthcare professionals across major markets
Manage congress activities, advisory boards, publication strategy, and external scientific communications for the CNS therapeutic area
Guide internal teams on therapeutic area knowledge, scientific messaging, and data dissemination
Oversee external agency partnerships and ensure medical content is scientifically accurate and aligned with global objectives
Collaborate on real-world evidence generation, health economics studies, and post-marketing activities to support market uptake and product positioning
Represent the company at key medical and scientific conferences globally
Manage CNS medical affairs budgets and lead cross-functional governance meetings in alignment with program timelines
Experience and qualifications for the Senior Director, Global Medical Affairs - CNS role
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with clinical training in neurology or neurosurgery strongly preferred; PharmD candidates with relevant CNS experience will be considered
At least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in medical affairs or related commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector
Proven success in medical affairs leadership roles supporting CNS or neurology-based programs, ideally across multiple clinical stages
Track record of developing and executing global publication and medical strategy plans
Strong understanding of the drug development process and lifecycle management, from early research through launch and commercialisation
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and acting as a key medical voice within a matrixed global organisation
Skilled in developing high-impact scientific engagement strategies and external communication packages
Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and aligning complex programs with organisational goals
Experience managing external vendors, medical writers, and scientific agencies
Willingness to travel
