Transformation Portfolio Manager

Our leading International client are looking for a Transformation Portfolio Manager to join them on a contract basis.
We are seeking an experienced Project Portfolio Manager to support both the 'Sales Leader of the future' initiative and the broader 'Regional Transformation' programmes they currently have in place. This person will be responsible for providing structure, visibility, and governance across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions.
Purpose:
Ensure that strategic objectives are translated into an executable portfolio of initiatives, with clear prioritization, disciplined governance, and benefit realization.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and lead the portfolio management framework (intake, prioritization, reporting)
- Drive governance cadence (monthly portfolio reviews, fortnightly project reviews, quarterly benefit reviews)
- Maintain executive dashboards showing project status, risks, resources, and benefits
- Support project managers, identify interdependencies, and reinforce delivery discipline
- Track impact and ensure initiatives remain aligned to strategic priorities.
Key skills and experience
- 10+ years in Portfolio/Program/PMO roles,
- Strong portfolio management expertise with transformation scope
- Hands-on with Smartsheet (or equivalent), dashboards, Power BI/Excel, and PowerPoint
- Skilled at workshop facilitation, SteerCo management, and executive reporting
- Ability to bring structure in PM environments without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- Consulting or transformation program background a plus
The role is largely remote but will require travel in the UK and potentially mainland Europe too.
