Final Test Technician

The company is at the forefront of the medical technology sector, supplying diagnostic systems to customers in over 100 countries. Their Dublin plant is the hub for manufacturing large diagnostic instruments.

Your role as Final Test Technician

• Set up and test systems and sub-assemblies according to specifications, ensuring they meet all criteria.
• Inspect sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, and methodologies.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing.
• Diagnose causes of malfunction in electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operations with minimal test time loss.
• Verify each system against branch orders to ensure accuracy and correct peripherals.
• Assist Engineering with the installation and verification of new test procedures and equipment.
• Help design test fixtures and inspection/test procedures for systems and modules.
• Maintain accurate Q.C. records, paperwork, and test data for each system/module.
• Oversee repair work to ensure it meets specifications.
• Adhere to Q.C. procedures related to material flow, handling defective material, and acceptance/rejection processes.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed when handling dangerous or infectious materials.
• Train new personnel and existing technicians on systems and modules.

Experience and qualifications for the Final Test Technician role

• Third-level qualification in Engineering (Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in training new personnel or existing technicians.
• Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, and SAP.
